Spare Ribs with Taro in Coconut Juice


  • Spare Ribs
  • Taros
  • Garlic, crushed
1 tbsp
  • Coconut Milk
  • Spring onion, cut into sections
2 stalks

  • Shaoxing wine
1 tbsp
  • Light soy sauce
3 tbsp
  • Little bit of sesame oil
  • Little bit of sugar
Spare Rib with Taro in Coconut Juice
Cooking Method:

  1. Add marinade to spare ribs, mix well and set aside for about 20 minutes.
  2. Add oil to the Le Creuset 25cm Oval French Oven and heat the pot for 3 minutes over medium heat.
  3. Fry the spare ribs until it turns golden, then add taros and crushed garlic and fry them until they turned golden.
  4. Add chicken soup and cook with lid on for 8 minutes with low heat. Turn the heat off, keep the lid on and set aside for another 8 minutes.
  5. Turn the heat up. Add coconut milk and let it boil up again, then turn the heat off, add spring onion and serve hot.
