Papaya Milk with Peach Gum

Preparation time : Under 10mn.

Cooking Time : Under 35mn.

Serves : 3-4

Ingredients

  • 400g of papaya (cubed)
  • 6 pieces of red dates (seed removed)
  • 200g of peach gum (soaked overnight until softened, dirt and impurities removed)
  • Rock sugar to taste
  • 500ml water
  • 500ml full cream milk

Preparation

  1. In a Heart Shaped Casserole 20cm bring water to boil.
  2. Add in red dates and papaya. Cook for 20 minutes or until papaya is moderately soft.
  3. Add in peach gum and cook for another 15 minutes over small heat.
  4. Turn off the heat and adjust the sweetness with rock sugar according to taste.
  5. Pour in milk and it is ready to be served.
